Across more than two decades, his work has covered geoscience, reservoir engineering, carbon capture, utilisation and storage, hydrogen, electricity systems, automotive electrification, connected mobility, data science and artificial intelligence. He has worked in university research, US government-sponsored programmes, industry and executive consulting.
At the Energy & Environmental Research Center, he served as a research scientist and co-principal investigator on multidisciplinary energy programmes. At Toyota, he led work in electrification, vehicle-grid integration, battery and carbon analytics, connected-vehicle data and production AI. His innovation portfolio comprises 10 inventions, including six granted US patents and two published US patent applications.
He now leads Emakemtos Inc., advising on energy, AI, sustainability and technology strategy. He also writes the weekly Systems & Society column for the Nigerian Tribune, contributes to its Editorial Board and is the author of The Unfinished Nigerian Project, published in 2026.
